The Dance of Loong

377 x 799 cm, canvas, acrylic paint, mixed materials

The Loong glides,

time sways,

years flow—

one after another, slipping into eternity.

In the East, in China—the homeland of the Loong—

2024 is the Year of Jiachen,

a moment when the dragon awakens once more.

The Chinese see the Loong

as a symbol of spirit and wisdom,

a bearer of celestial will,

a force both untamed and divine.

To some, it is power incarnate,

the ruler of destiny itself.

China’s culture is vast as the heavens,

the Loong’s legacy, enigmatic and ever-changing.

Its dance—

agile yet commanding, fierce yet graceful—

its presence, a storm of majesty and might.

And as it moves, my heart follows—

spinning, leaping, soaring in rhythm with its celestial steps.

Upon the canvas, numbers pulse and shift,

a silent prophecy written in motion,

a whisper of what is yet to come.

Silently, I inscribe this moment—

a tribute to the dance of the Loong.
