emptiness

50 x 875 cm, XUAN PAPER, MINERAL PIGMENT, turquoise powder, agate and coral, silt and water from a sacred lake himalayan mountain on the xizang plateau / FOLDING: 25 PAGES

I am the son of sacred mountains and holy lakes.

With my body, my voice, my mind,

I offer devotion—

countless dzi beads, agate, turquoise, coral—

gifts to the deities who guard the Himalayas,

Mount Kailash, Lake Yamdrok,

Manasarovar, Namtso.

Before these towering peaks, these pristine waters,

standing at the threshold of heaven and earth,

I kneel in reverence,

praying for boundless inspiration,

for colors that burn like fire,

for lines that carve through the void,

for energy that pulses with creation itself.

I paint with snow and ice,

sculpt with the storm, the wind, the thunder, the lightning.

I have surrendered to madness—

I dance with the divine.

I sing with the breath of the earth.

I break free.

My soul, unshackled, soars.

Now,

only art walks beside me.

I am Mr. Emptiness.

I am Nothingness.
